BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ASHLEY COHEN
Chief Executive Officer
My name is Ashley Cohen, and I am seventeen years old. Amidst midterms and AP exams in the spring, I was overwhelmed with classwork quickly transforming into homework and my classes becoming Zoom video chats. While I faced the sudden stress of quarantine, I realized that COVID-19 was disproportionately affecting the less fortunate in my community. Food banks were shutting down, and people were being laid off at rapid rates. For many San Diego residents, paying for groceries became exponentially more difficult. I wanted to help, so I launched HTHV!
CHIARA KENAGY
Outreach Director
I am Chiara Kenagy, and I attend the Bishop's School in La Jolla, California. At seventeen years old, I love playing piano and swimming at the beach. I first found my passion for community service through National Charity League, working with disabled children during the summer. I now have hundreds of volunteer hours, and I am so excited to continue exploring my passion for helping the community with HTHV during COVID-19!
MADDIE KECK
Social Media Director
My name is Maddie Keck, and I am seventeen years old. In my free time, I enjoy exploring my creativity by drawing and painting and giving back to the community through volunteer work with National Charity League. I also love to bake (banana bread is my favorite!). At school, I am a member of Peer Support, an organization that strives to foster camaraderie and growth on our campus. I look forward to doing my part in the nationwide fight against food insecurity with HTHV.
ASHLYN HUNTER
Creative Director
I am Ashlyn Hunter, and I am a senior in high school. In my free time, I enjoy exercising; helping my community through various projects, including HTHV; and hanging out with my friends and family. I am a member of my school dance team and have been a competitive dancer for fourteen years. Since the beginning of summer, I have been an avid participant in the fight against food insecurity, working with Food Finder to help families more easily gain access to nearby food banks. I am very excited to continue my personal role combatting food insecurity with HTHV!
